ABOUT USOur interest in ghost hunting began as a curiosity, which then heightened due to television programming regarding ghosts and ghost hunting (Real Ghost Hunters, History's Hauntings, etc.) The three of us are family; there is myself, Starr, my husband Ed, and my daughter Jessi. Our very first investigation took place in February of 1997. Credentials: Starr is a Certified Ghost Hunter & Researcher, Certified Paranormal Investigator, Certified Instructor, and Certified EVP Specialist. Jessi is a Certified Ghost Hunter & Researcher, Certified Paranormal Investigator, and Certified EVP Specialist. Ed is a Certified Ghost Hunter & Researcher. We are all Members of The American Society of Dowsers. We can proudly say that we have never asked for any type of reimbursement from anyone who has sought us out for aid. We believe that it is everyone's responsibility to use their knowledge to help others if at all possible. While tracing our genealogy, we found that we are descended from Celtic origin. We have always felt a special attunement with nature and the spirit world, and I guess this may have something to do with it. We do believe in universal Karma, and we believe that whatever you send out comes back to you threefold. We would never do anything to hurt or endanger any entity, living or passed. We do not claim to be psychic, but we will say we are sensitive to certain aspects of the spirit realm. We do not try to "exorcise" spirits, only confirm their presences by gathering evidence. Nor do we summon any entity. We do speak to the spirits that are present during our investigation; we do this to gather information from them in the form of EVP recordings, video recordings or photos. We take special care in evaluating any data we acquire, to make sure it is credible. We use several digital cameras, a 35mm camera, a Sony camcorder with Night Shot and tripod, digital micro-cassette recorders, standard cassette recorders with external omnidirectional microphones, a Cell Sensor EMF meter, a Multidetector II Prof meter, a combination IR/Thermocouple thermometer, a standard IR thermometer, and dowsing rods. On the subject of dowsing, most are new to the theory of tracking paranormal energies in this fashion. I learned how to dowse with a pendulum when I was only five years old. I was taught by my Father, who in turn learned from his Grandmother who was a Cherokee indian. I learned how to dowse with L-rods about 5 years ago, and I prefer this method personally. Dowsing is a powerful tool when used correctly, and yes, it will help you find (not summon) spirit energy. Most anyone can dowse, some better than others, but I've run across only a scant few who had no results. Even if you get meager results, it is still another type of verification for your ghost hunting evidences. It can also help you know where to concentrate your efforts for gathering EVP, photos and other evidences. We welcome those who have an interest in paranormal investigation to join us.
