EVP from The Mansion at Griffin Gate

Background: Locally renouned for being haunted. The staff tells us that they often have sightings of a little girl on the staircase, they have nicknamed her Greta. They also report keys being moved, items being knocked off the mantles, the fireplaces turning off and on by themselves, feelings of being watched, instances of being touched by unseen hands, and cold spots.

June 30, 2005

#1 - Blue Ash Room

We were showing Greta the photos from our last investigation, and she seemed pleased.

#2 - Basement Storage Area

A voice saying "Lydia". I'm not sure who Lydia is though!

#3 - Blue Ash Room

You will first hear our Cell Sensor going off, then a small voice says "It's just me".

#4 - Blue Ash Room

While playing Hide and Seek with Greta, we ask "Greta, where are you?" and she answers "I'm back here".

#5 - Blue Ash Room

We had just laid one of the cameras on the mantle, and you hear a man's voice says "Get it off".

#6 - Blue Ash Room

We were still in the process of playing Hide and Seek with Greta when we had a lady come in to ask some questions about the ghosts. We stopped looking while we were speaking with her, and you will hear us talking with her in the background of this EVP. Greta says "You'll never find me".

#7 - Blue Ash Room

We were having a question and answer session with Greta, and Jessi asks her to tell us her real name... but it wasn't Greta who answered. Definitely male, but we can't make out the name.

August 19, 2005 - Ghosts of Griffin Gate Event

#1 - Blue Ash Room

At the beginning of our question and answer session I gave instructions to the spirits present to cross our rods if someone was ready to speak with us, and just afterward you hear this voice saying "Me, me, me".

#2 - Blue Ash Room

Stacy asks Greta is her Mom and Dad were there, and Greta answers "No".

#3 - Blue Ash Room

Apparently someone wanted us to look at them. You hear this voice while we are getting ready to resume asking questions, it says "Turn around, over here".

#4 - Blue Ash Room

One of our participants asked Greta if she was alone in the room, and you hear a voice say "Yes".

#5 - Blue Ash Room

Kilean asked Greta if she had a baby doll, and you hear a breathy "Uh huh".

#6 - Blue Ash Room

One of our participants asked if the little girl's name was really Greta, and the reply is "No".

#7 - Blue Ash Room

During our question and answer session our rods indicated that the spirit was over by Mike, one of the participants in the event. I ask "Are you over by Mike" and you here a voice indicate "Yes".

#8 - Blue Ash Room

We asked Greta if she was having fun tonight, and you hear a voice say "New". Probably telling us they are aware of the new people that were present this evening.

#9 - Blue Ash Room

Kilean asked if the spirit he was speaking with was a little girl, and the reply we get is "No, only 30".

August 24, 2007 - Ghosts of Griffin Gate Event

#1 - Blue Ash Room

This EVP was captured just after I had relayed a story that had happened the prior year. The Story: We had driven past the Mansion on a daily basis for several weeks while participating in a 6 week craft show, and on the way home every evening we would say "Hi" to Greta as we were driving by. One evening we had had to stay late because there were so many people still at the event, we were just so tired and not really thinking... I had even turned my radio off in the Jeep because I just wanted peace and quiet. We got just past The Mansion, and all of a sudden my radio blasted on all by itself, and my radio has a knob that you have to push to turn it on and then roll to turn the volume up. We assumed it was Greta reminding us she was there. After I finished telling them this story, this EVP was captured... a small voice saying "You forgot to say hi to Greta".

#2 - Blue Ash Room

Later that evening when we were taking a break, we captured this EVP while no one was in the room. "Good night"
